Nicholas White, a sixth-generation journalist, left the newspaper industry in a pursuit to save it for the long run. White decided to leave the Sundusky Register, a family run paper since 1869, in an aim to evaluate and change the way news is reported for online users. 2011 was the year The Daily Dot officially got launched.
